“We learned a lot of lessons from that. Fremantle were always going to challenge us.
“They have been really good here. The numbers tell you all you need to know. There hasn't been an away tea, beat Fremantle here.
“That was the take away from that. It was a pretty mature performance, we learned from a lot of things last year.”

After kicking 5.16 in three quarters against St Kilda in round two and leading by just five points at the last break, they booted 8.1 in the final term to win by 52 points.
Then, in round seven against the Sydney Swans at the SCG, Norths led by eight points at the last change and held on for a two-point victory.

But Scott says he sees the next two rounds before their bye in round 13 being just as crucial.

“We have Brisbane next week who comprehensively beat Hawthorn and ran Sydney all the way. So it doesn't get any easier,” he said.
“We are looking at the block of two games (against the Lions and Geelong), and then we have the bye after that.
“Two big games coming up, but I think the way the competition is structured, every game is a big one and competition showing if you are off you get beaten and plenty of sides have had that experience this year.
“What we are working on is a consistent style of footy that will hold up and I am pretty pleased with the brand we are playing.”
