A car has crashed into a home in Sydney's southwest but the 80-year-old resident, a woman, escaped unscathed.

The driver of the car - a 16-year-old boy - and his 19-year-old male passenger were also uninjured.

However, the fire department had to stabilise the Canley Vale home after the crash caused significant structural damage.
