The victim of a violent stabbing in Box Hill's main pedestrian mall was known to his alleged attackers, police say.
A 19-year-old man from Balwyn received "multiple stab wounds" when a verbal altercation with three other men turned physical in broad daylight on Friday afternoon on Main Street, Box Hill.
He remains in an induced coma with life threatening injuries and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Police want to speak to these two males in relation to a stabbing at Box Hill on Friday.
Photo: Supplied"Box Hill mall is as you can imagine, very busy at 4:30 in the afternoon, there are people everywhere," Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Shepherd told reporters on Saturday.
"The incident is clearly captured on CCTV … many people have been confronted by the incident and we are keen to hear of what they have seen and heard."
