Homicide detectives have blocked off the street until further notice, with forensic investigators collecting dozens of bags of evidence from inside the property. They are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death and the investigation is ongoing.

It’s understood the 56-year-old man who owns the house lives there alone but had previously lived there with his wife and two children.

Neighbours say he was always friendly and would regularly mow lawns for others in the street.

Police would not confirm the identity of the victim but confirmed both parties are known to each other.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
