Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a man was located deceased on the roof of a business in Thomastown this morning, Victoria Police say.

Emergency services arrived at the High Street address just after 3am but were unable to get to the man’s body straight away due to live power lines.

The man was extricated from the roof and declared deceased at the scene.

At this stage police are looking into the possibility the man was electrocuted when an object he was holding struck overhead power lines.
