Slain bikie boss Mahmound "Mick" Hawi has been farewelled at a funeral at a mosque in Sydney's south.
Several Rolls Royce cars, believed to be carrying Hawi’s close family, drew up at the Al-Zahra mosque in Arncliffe backed by police and private security guards, one week after the ex-Comanchero was gunned down outside a Sydney gym.
Hundreds of mourners gathered, with many wearing black t-shirts printed with Hawi's photograph on the back along with his date of birth and death.

One man clutched a large framed image of him as he led a silent entourage of more than 20 men, all dressed in black, into the mosque about 1pm ahead of lunchtime prayers.
There was little bikie paraphernalia at the funeral, but gold chains and iron cross tattoos could be seen poking out from collars and sleeves - indelible reminders of Hawi's past.
The funeral takes place on the day it was revealed that his wife Carolina Gonzales has won the right to extract his sperm in a bid to have his baby.

The ceremony lasted for about one hour before his casket, draped in a dark cloth covered in coloured Islamic writing, left the mosque.
It was followed by the convoy of luxury cars bound for Rookwood Cemetery, where Hawi is being laid to rest.

Hundreds attended the cemetery, with mourners seen litfting an empty coffin above their heads during the burial.
Born in Beirut in Lebanon, Mahmoud "Mick" Hawi moved to Australia with his parents, brother and three sisters as a young boy in 1985.
As national president of the Comanchero motorcycle club, Hawi was imprisoned over the bashing death of Hell's Angels associate Anthony Zervas in a wild brawl at Sydney Airport in 2009.

Since his release in 2015, he laid low in south Sydney.
But Hawi's suburban life came to an end last Thursday when he was shot multiple times while he sat in his luxury Mercedes 4WD outside Rockdale's Fitness First.
He died in St George Hospital that night, aged 37.

A large-scale police investigation and manhunt for the two gunmen were immediately launched in a bid to pre-empt any retaliation attacks.

Police are still hunting for his killers.
A family friend urged people to put the headlines and comments about Hawi's chequered past aside and pray for the family he leaves behind.
