TWO female patients have been transported to hospital after a two-vehicle crash at a busy city intersection this afternoon.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the two, one in her 30s, were transported to Toowoomba Hospital after a crash about 12.30pm today at the intersection of West and James St.

Both patients are in a stable condition. The patient in her 30s is being treated for back injuries.

The crash comes five days after an elderly woman, 78, died after suffering injuries from a crash at the same intersection..
