When police officers arrived in response to calls, Ms Stevens allegedly struck out at them too, before she was eventually apprehended. The officer was not injured in the altercation, police said.

Ms Stevens, who also goes by Lisa Sloane or Lisa Murchie, was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where she was charged with a string of offences including predatory driving, common assault (domestic violence), being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, and assaulting a police officer.

Bonni Stevens was refused bail on Tuesday after being charged with a string of offences.

Prosecutors opposed bail in Parramatta Court on Tuesday, saying the prosecution case is “strong” and Ms Stevens poses an “unacceptable risk” of “endangering the safety of the victims and the community”.

Registrar Barbara Baker agreed, despite describing Ms Stevens’ prior history as “limited”.

“The actions that led to these charges are quite disturbing,” she said, adding her primary concern is the safety of the victims given it’s alleged that “even after police turned up she continued her assault, and in fact turned her efforts towards police”.

Ms Stevens was refused bail and will return to court at a later date.
