Watch as Better Homes and Gardens shows you these DIY buttons! You can use these to make other button crafts that fit in with your fall decorations. We made a fall wreath, what will you craft? For this DIY home decor, you'll need metal buttons to cover, a button covering kit, fabric in solid colors or patterns, scissors, a fabric pencil, a hot glue gun and sticks, a small, flat wreath form, and ribbon. To get started, trace circles around the button mold on the back side of the fabric. Leave a little more than an inch between each circle. Trim the fabric into manageable circles, trimming out the circles with about 1/2 inch extra circumference. These raw edges will be tucked in. Center the fabric circle on the button mold, wrong side up. Place the button face-down onto the fabric, and push down to tuck the extra fabric in. Place the button back over the fabric, snapping it into place with the pusher. Carefully pull the button out. With a variety of covered buttons, you could make tons of DIY crafts! We glued them onto a wreath form for a unique fall wreath, but the patterns could work in many ways. Try this fall decorating idea for your own personal touch on festive fall decorations!
