The talented 19-year-old snuck into the set of the popular Netflix prison drama and roamed the premises recreating famous scenes by combining her own printed screenshots with the real-life scenery.

She uploaded her photo series to her Tumblr page. And they are stunning.

So stunning, that they’ve caught the eye of the makers of Orange Is The New Black, who recently released their third season.

The show’s official Twitter page playfully issued Gardella with a “shot” — a written punishment given to prisoners — from fictional corrections officer John Bennett.

The faux document outlines the ‘offence’: “Illegally entered Lichtfield Correctional Institution set. Took fantastic photos featuring scenes from OITNB. Posted said photos to her personal Tumblr.”

And naturally, Gardella is utterly stoked.

“I had to do a double take and make sure that the tweet was actually about me,” she told News Corp Australia

“Then right away I ran to my kitchen to show my dad and sister what just happened. It’s so surreal.”

The devoted fan said when she discovered the set location was at an abandoned children’s psychiatric centre only 50km from her home in Monroe, she couldn’t help but drive over and check it out.

When she got there, it was as easy as walking in.

“To my surprise there was no gate blocking the entryway, so anybody is able to get on the property,” she said.

“There was also no signage stating ‘Do Not Enter’.”

And she wasn’t alone, also finding other fellow fans were wandering the set.

The video production student said her idea was inspired by a similar style of photography she saw using a scene from The Walking Dead.

“I just wanted to share the set experience with other fans that don’t have the luxury of living near by,” she said.
