A man has been charged with ramming a police car and two other vehicles in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley.

Police say they were following a stolen car on St Pauls Terrace when the driver did a sudden U-turn and rammed a police car and two parked cars.

Officers were able to corner the vehicle, but the driver reversed and rammed the police car a second time.

The driver, a 22-year-old man, was arrested at the scene.

No one was injured but all four cars were damaged.

Police later searched the stolen car and allegedly found a knife, a flail and dangerous drugs.

The man has been charged with 17 offences including dangerous driving and possessing drugs and weapons.

He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 22.
