IT’S a 300-year old manor house in the Isle of Wight which is steeped in history with a big price tag — even though it doesn’t have a roof.

The property, Appuldurcombe Estate, is listed for the equivalent of about $A11.9 million through Savills London.

The main baroque Grade I Listed mansion which is described as “ruined” in the marketing material is looking for a new owner to restore it to its previous grandeur.

The estate has its own website which described the main house as once being “the grandest and most striking house on the Isle of Wight’’.

It is all on 116ha of land which is used for grazing sheep and cattle.
