IF YOU’VE ever watched question time in parliament, you know it can sometimes be a fairly dull affair. But in a quest for a little bit of personal entertainment, a Brazilian MP made a very embarrassing mistake.
Joao Rodrigues was caught watching pornographic content on his phone during a reform debate in the Brazilian Parliament.
The impromptu session of parliamentary porn watching was captured on camera as the member of the ruling Social Democratic Party watched the erotic video under his desk. A picture of the MP’s phone was released by local media with the screen’s display described as “women in obscene positions, very obsceneâ€, reports The Mirror.
Mr Rodrigues seemed to enjoy the content so much he waved over his parliamentary mates and had a small viewing party. Footage of the incident shows two other MP’s watching the lewd video over the shoulder of Mr Rodrigues.
Brazil’s Chamber of Deputies was in full session and were reportedly voting on electoral reform at the time.
Mr Rodrigues took to his Facebook account to explain his actions said he received the video through a group message on WhatsApp.
“I participate in nearly a hundred groups on WhatsApp and during the day I search and separate the wheat from the chaff. What interests me I keep or forward and what doesn’t interest me, I delete. It was just what I was doing, erasing the rubbish,†he wrote.
However despite his explanation, the Brazilian media have run wild with the footage ensuring Mr Rodrigues has been sufficiently embarrassed by the incident.
