A MAN has accidentally shot himself in the stomach while chasing dogs off his property in Sydney's west, police say.
AT about 9.50pm on Friday emergency services were called to the property at Badgerys Creek following reports a man had suffered a gunshot wound.
"Initial investigations suggest the man, believed to be aged in his 30s, suffered an accidentally self-inflicted gunshot wound to the stomach while chasing dogs off his property," police said in a statement. He was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital with an injury that's not considered life-threatening.
