AUSSIE actress Cate Blanchett, US director Todd Haynes and US actress Rooney Mara have showed they have a cheeky sense of humour.
At a photocall for their film Carol at the 68th Cannes Film Festival in Cannes they grabbed each other’s bottoms and smiled for the camera.
Oscar-winner Blanchett looked stunning in an edgy Alexander McQueen ensemble while Mara’s white, lace dress (also McQueen) was more feminine.
The film Carol portrays an illicit affair between a wealthy married woman (Blanchett) and a New York City department store clerk (Mara) in the 1950s.
Blanchett has been causing all kinds of controversy recently after admitting to having “female relationships†in an interview with Variety magazine but she has since denied that any of them were of the sexual persuasion.

Later that night Blanchett stunned at the premiere of her film in a Giles Fall 2015 strapless gown. While fellow Aussie Naomi Watts has been blowing fashion critics away with her style choices while in the French party town and Aussie Melissa George also made an appearance.
