“I just feel I can never be completely happy again because this has happened,” said Nicodemou.

HOME and Away actress Ada Nicodemou has opened up for the first time about the tragic loss of her son, who was stillborn nine months ago.

In an interview with New Idea, Nicodemou said she and husband Chrys Xipolitas’ lives changed forever when Harrison was delivered stillborn in August last year.

“We will never be the same people we were, and I hate that,” the 38-year-old, who has a two-year-own son Johnas told the mag.

“How do you cope with this? How do you cope? For both of us, what’s upsetting is that this is part of our story now. It’s something you never imagine. It’s just one of the most unnatural things you could ever go through.”

“It’s not that I will never be a complete person again, but I just wonder ... How can I say? I just feel I can never be completely happy again because this has happened.”

Nicodemou had son Johnas through IVF, but conceived Harrison naturally and unassisted.

In a March 2014 interview to announce the new pregnancy, the 37-year-old said it had come as a “surprise”.

“For it to happen so quickly after we struggled for so long last time is a really nice surprise and we feel really, really lucky,” she said.
