The angry beast was due to take part in a bullfighting festival in the town of Talavera de la Reina, but somehow escaped.

The terrifying clip shows the bull charge at a wheelchair bound man, knocking him over while horrified onlookers scream.

Police were eventually forced to run the animal over and kill it before any more damage was done.

A 30-year-old man had to undergo surgery, a nine-year-old boy received facial injuries and others were bruised in the encounter.

An investigation into how the bull escaped is underway.
