There were 433 auctions scheduled across the capital cities this week, with just 591 held nationally, according to CoreLogic RP Data.

Last week, there were 2603 auctions held across the capital cities, recording an average clearance rate of 78.9 per cent.

It was the sixth consecutive week where the combined capitals clearance rate sat above 75 per cent.

Sydney has just 174 auctions scheduled this week with most held before the weekend.

It’s a far cry from the 988 auctions last week, recording a clearance rate of 87 per cent — the highest on record for the city.

There are 143 auctions scheduled in Melbourne this week, significantly down on the 1266 held across the city last week.

Strong demand fuelled a high clearance rate of 79.5 per cent last week, the city’s second highest this year.

CoreLogic RP Data reported 31 auctions were scheduled this week in Brisbane, 36 auctions were set for Perth and just 22 for Canberra.

In Melbourne, the striking, three-bedroom home at 19 Freeland Lane, Fitzroy, will go under the hammer at 1.30pm tomorrow.

In Sydney, Chadwick Real Estate will take the four-bedroom home at 20 Garnet Cres, Killara, to auction tomorrow.

The home has been renovated throughout with smart additions such as the french doors that lead from the formal lounge room to the outdoor entertaining area.

It is scheduled for a 3pm auction with an advertised price guide of $2.4 million-plus.
