SOME may think she’s barking mad but this agent’s new sales technique has left her competitors with their tails between their legs.
RE/MAX United Vision agent Tracey Ashley has looked to spice up her online listings by including a series of fetching new property photos.
Ms Ashley has started including her four-year-old Shihtzu cross Cavalier, Tiffany, in advertising shots for otherwise empty houses, and the reaction from buyers has been positive.
“It started with a pet friendly townhouse that I was selling and I thought the courtyard would look good with Tiffany in it,†she said.
“After we did that she kept popping up in all the shots the photographer took so we decided to include them and take her to open houses as well.
“It’s worked really well for sellers and listings featuring Tiffany have been getting double the amount of hits than a similar property in the same suburb.â€
Ms Ashley said sellers had loved included the pup in their listings.
“It’s just a good way to stand out and get your home more attention and it’s a little bit of fun,†she said.
“It’s helping our sellers now with one property featuring Tiffany selling within a week of being listed.
“A lot of people are looking for pet-friendly properties and so these photos are a great way of communicating that easily.â€
