THE vendors wanted $240,000 for the Kerrigans’ holiday house at Bonnie Doon, but buyers have told them they were dreaming.

The price for the two-bedroom house at 3491 Maintongoon Rd has dropped to $225,000.

John Canavan First National at Mansfield is handling the campaign, which kicked off late last year.

It was used as the backdrop for some of the movie’s classic lines, including dad Darryl asking the family, “how’s the serenity”.

The Bonnie Doon shack was used for the Australian movie classic The Castle.

Overlooking Lake Eildon, the house has a combined living, meals and kitchen and a covered deck.

It’s being sold furnished, including memorabilia. A separate studio with a concrete floor and split-system airconditioning is a recent addition.
