Nicole Richie, 33, wore her six-year-old daughter Harlow’s jacket to an event in Los Angeles this week — and bragged about it on Instagram.

“Thanks for letting me borrow your jacket Harlow,” scary-thin Richie captioned the snap.

The Candidly Nicole star, whose super slender frame has made headlines over the years, wore the cream coat with tight black jeans and a white top.

Richie’s fashion misstep is reminiscent of Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel’s pyjama scandal in July.

The 44-year-old reality star posed for a notorious Instagram photo wearing her four-year-old daughter Bryn’s Hello Kitty PJs.

Parenting experts slammed the SkinnyGirl founder’s decision, saying she could spark weight problems for her daughter later in life.

Frankel was also blasted by a judge in court as she battled her ex-husband Jason Hoppy over custody of their daughter.

“No more pyjamas,” the judge warned. “It’s not a joke. Her child is not a joke.”

Meanwhile, Richie’s fluctuating weight has long been a topic of conversation.

The mum-of-two, who is married to rocker Joel Madden, has on numerous occasions been forced to deny she was bulimic or anorexic.

Richie’s brother-in-law, Benji Madden, is also in the headlines this week after reports he is engaged to Cameron Diaz.

Sources told News Corp Australia in November that Madden proposed to the actress in October after a seven-month whirlwind romance.
