Wellington Phoenix goalkeeper Glen Moss has rebuffed approaches from other suitors to sign a two-year extension with the A-League club.
The 31-year-old New Zealand international says the feeling that the Phoenix, currently fifth in the league, are on the cusp of something special enticed him to extend his stay.
"There was interest from outside the A-League I could have pursued, but at the end of the day when I was weighing up the options there was only one way it was going to go," he said.
He was encouraged by the club establishing a reserve team and youth academy and how coach Ernie Merrick has them playing.

"The way Ernie has got the team training and playing is exciting and that's why I wanted to be here in the longer term.
"I believe this club is going to go places in the future because it is getting stronger all the time and I want to be part of it."
Moss was a foundation member of the side before leaving for stints with A-League rivals Melbourne Victory and Gold Coast United.
He rejoined the Phoenix on a two-year deal last season.
Moss becomes the second player after midfielder Albert Riera to commit to the Phoenix beyond the expiration of its A-League licence.
The licence is due to expire at the end of 2016.
