INDIA have claimed the prized wickets of David Warner, Shane Watson and Chris Rogers to put Australia’s top-order under pressure in the second Test at the Gabba.
At tea on day two, the home side is 3-121, still trailing by 287 runs after debutant quick Josh Hazlewood (5-68) produced a superb display to rout India in the first session.
Buoyed by Hazlewood, Australia did well to restrict India to 408, but the tourists hit back after lunch, delivering a three-pronged punch to remove Warner (29), Watson (25) and Rogers (55).
Rookie skipper Steve Smith (six not out) and Shaun Marsh are charged with leading Australia’s fightback.
