The eight-year-old joined her brothers, Maddox and Pax, on the red carpet for the premiere of Unbroken, along with her dad, Brad Pitt and his parents, Jane and William Pitt.

Pitt said in 2010 that his first biological child began to only answer to the name John from the age of three.

“We’ve got to call her John,” Pitt said. “(I would ask) Shi, do you want ...”

But that she would interrupt and say.

“John. I’m John.”

Jolie has also spoken about how her daughter wants to be one of the boys.

“We had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers ... She dresses like a little dude. She likes tracksuits, she likes suits,” Jolie told Vanity Fair.

Jolie was unable to attend the premiere because she has chickenpox. It is unclear how she caught the chickenpox but her twins Knox and Vivienne, six, and daughter Zahara, nine, were also absent from the premiere.
