A WOMAN understood to be the girlfriend of Sydney siege gunman Man Haron Monis, can be seen in chilling videos posted to YouTube, claiming to be a terrorist, blaming rape victims for their attacks, and expressing happiness about the Holocaust and 9/11.
Sydney police today spent three hours at the home of Amirah Droudis, aged 35, after her long-time lover was killed in gunfire with police at the end of the 17-hour siege in Martin Place.
Droudis was convicted in 2013 of aiding and abetting the self-styled sheik Monis in the repugnant act of sending offensive letters to the families of fallen Australian soldiers.
During the course of their relationship, Droudis acted as Monis’ faithful acolyte and spokeswoman, doing the hate preacher’s bidding in several offensive videos that still appear on YouTube.
“I regret to say I am a terrorist. I admit and formally confess that for many years I have been a terrorist, but I’ll try not to be anymore,†a woman wearing a niqab, understood to be Droudis, says in one of the YouTube videos, first uploaded in 2009.
A link to Monis’ website appears at the bottom of the video.
In a separate upload, she says “(Muslims) must be happy with any act of Godâ€, including acts of terrorism such as the 9/11 attacks.
“We must submit to God’s will. If anyone is to be blamed it is the US Government, that, with the oppressive behaviour that has been the cause of God’s punishment. We must complain from the corrupted politicians. Not from God,†she says in the rant.
“Yes we are happy about the punishment of September 11. Yes we are happy about the punishment in Bali. Yes we are happy about the punishment of the Holocaust and any other punishment that God sends to us.â€
The self-styled Sheik Haron and his spokeswoman Droudis drew headlines in 2009 for a video posted on his website saying that rape victims invited their attacks and should be condemned.
“It is not fair if we condemn the rapist without condemning the one who has encouraged the rape,†she said in the video.

The pair were found guilty last year of sending “offensive and deplorable†letters to the families of seven Australian Diggers who lost their lives serving in Afghanistan.
Droudis pleaded guilty to her charge of aiding and abetting Monis in sending the letters, and had her sentence deferred provided she followed a two-year bond. Monis avoided jail time but was sentenced to 300 hours of community service.
At the time of the siege yesterday, Monis was out on bail for his role in the alleged murder of his ex-wife, Noleen Hayson Pal.
