THE family of Man Monis’ murdered ex-wife have expressed their anger at the Australian justice system as they remember the mother-of two.
Monis’ former partner Noleen Hayson Pal, 30, was stabbed 18 times and set alight outside her Werrington unit in April 2013.
Monis was charged as an accessory before and after the fact to the murder while his girlfriend Amirah Droudis was charged with her killing.
Both were freed on bail by Magistrate William Pierce on December 12 last year at Penrith Local Court.
Ms Pal’s brother Tatat Khalik posted pictures of his sister on Facebook after news broke Monis was the hostage taker in Martin Place and shot dead.
Writing from his home in California he wrote “Noleen miss uâ€.
On news that Monis was dead, he wrote “Fu**n lucky tey got u before we did now.rest in hell f***in asshole.
“F**k u a**hole burn in hell.â€
“Thats systems tere f**ed up but im still happy he.died.â€
Ms Pal’s mother Momina Khalik, also based in California, criticised the fact that he was on bail.
“y the first place they let him free on the sydney streets they should have let him rot in the jail his a f**ken sick animal.â€
At the time of being granted bail, Monis’ lawyer Manny Conditsis said Mr Pierce “made a courageous decision†freeing the pair on bail.
“It is important to note that he assessed the Crown case as weak. Mr Monis and Ms Droudis will strenuously fight these charges,†Mr Conditsis said at the time.
