A 16-year-old is recovering from a suspected broken arm after he was attacked with a machete and threatened with a pistol during a home invasion in western Sydney yesterday.
Police say three men burst into the home on Bunya Road, Bidwell, about 4pm, also threatening a 46-year-old man and five children.
One of the thugs assaulted the teenager with the machete before the intruders ran from the scene.
He has been described as of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, approximately 190cm tall and of muscular build.
Emergency services were contacted and paramedics treated the injured boy at the scene.
The man with the firearm has been described as being of Caucasian appearance and wearing a black hoodie.
The other man is also believed to be of Caucasian appearance.
No one else was injured in the incident.
Police are asking the public to help identify the men.
