The 41-year-old singer’s estranged wife recently called the police after he absconded from a mental health facility.

She said that Stapp had taken off on a bicycle with over 400 pages of documents, supposedly from the CIA. In a 911 call obtained by TMZ, Jaclyn Stapp said the musician claimed he was a CIA agent and he had been tasked with assassinating US President Barack Obama.

Jaclyn Stapp and her sister pleaded with the police to capture him and take him back to a psych facility. Ms Stapp, who is seeking a divorce from her husband, told 911 operators that the singer had previously been committed almost 10 times.

In a twist, Stapp made his own 911 call and said his wife had stolen his truck, which is why he was a bike. When the cops caught up to him, he also claimed that his wife had stolen $US6 million from him which is why she’s trying to get him locked up.

In November, police found Stapp on the side of the road and rambling that someone was trying to poison him. He was placed on a 72-hour psychiatric hold.
