BEARDS have long had a Christmassy feel, thanks to their close association with Santa.
Now you can make your fuzz look even more festive — with baubles.
In a year in which some claim we’ve reached “peak beardâ€, this is the ultimate hipster gift.
The tiny, shiny beard baubles are being sold online for just $13 a pack.
They were such a hit that the website, which ships to countries around the world, ran out of stock and was working frantically to make more in time for Christmas.
All proceeds from the sale of the must-have seasonal accessories go to Aussie charity Beard Season, which teamed up with ad agency Grey London for the project.
Beard Season aims to get people to have a skin check for melanoma, which kills more young people than any other cancer in Australia.
The creators said they had been “overwhelmed by the response†to the product.
Instagram beardies called it “awesome†and “a great ideaâ€, while Twitter users posted, “I demand baubles for my beard†and, “My girls need these for their daddy!â€
One fan even tried creating his own using full-size baubles.
The affordable accessory has really hit the mark with shoppers looking for the perfect kitsch gift.
It marks a growing trend for beard decorations, which has seen whiskery men adorn theirs with flowers, cocktail umbrellas and even miniature Lego people.
So buy some beard-jewellery for the Santa in your life, and have a very hairy Christmas.
