SHE really knows how to pull off a little black dress — even one that costs just over $100.
Kate Middleton has again showed she’s not a designer snob by wearing a sleeved turtleneck dress that cost about $A111 on her royal tour of New York.
The affordable LBD is from British maternity designer Seraphine — a label worn by celebrities including Kourtney Kardashian, Mila Kunis, Doutzen Kroes and Zoe Saldana.

Demand for the Black Turtleneck Vanessa Dress spiked today after the Duchess of Cambridge — who is expecting her second bub — wore it to a reception held in their honour at NeueHouse in Manhattan’s Flatiron district.

Seraphine’s website was flooded with orders — a result of The Kate Middleton Effect — with the brand posting a note to customers to say that deliveries may take longer than usual.
Due to extremely high demand, please note orders placed now will be dispatched six weeks from the date of order,†the statement said.
It’s not the first time Kate’s high street style has sent shoppers into a frenzy.
When the royal couple visited in Australia in April, the Duchess stepped out in a $495 dress by Aussie designers, Zimmerman. It sold like hotcakes.

She teamed the relatively cheap turtleneck with a pair of Stuart Weitman heels, InStyle reports, to meet Hollywood mega-producer Harvey Weinstein, and fashion identities Jenna Lyons and Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman at the party.
The Duchess has been showing off her stunning maternity style while on a three-day tour of NYC with her husband, Prince William.

The most recent was a dark blue Jenny Packham gown with off the shoulder neckline that she wore to the St Andrew’s gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art today.
Dressed to impress, the royal couple rubbed shoulders with Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy, and tonight host Seth Meyers, according to Vanity Fair.
