The hour-long finale marked the end of an era for the pair who spent 28 years reviewing films together and hosted At The Movies together for 11 years after moving from their first home at SBS.
Stunned with the outpouring of sadness over their departure from TV together, Pomeranz messaged fans with her heartfelt thanks — and wit.

Pomeranz and Stratton left the set while holding hands, which viewers saw as a fitting end to the show.
The farewell episode of At The Movies went out on a high, as Pomeranz and Stratton said goodbye to 726,000 viewers, which was the 11th ranked program on OzTAM’s overnight ratings.
