MORE than 60 people have been charged in connection with a bikie drug-trafficking ring, as authorities seized drugs worth almost $3 million.

OPERATION Juliet Wave targeted former members of the Centro chapter of the Bandidos bikie gang and their associates.

Queensland's Crime and Corruption Commission on Monday said it had wrapped up its joint investigation with police, which also saw more than $830,000 in assets and bank accounts frozen under proceeds of crime laws. The crime watchdog says it expects to seize more assets. A total of 62 people have been charged with 430 offences, including 13 people who are facing drug-trafficking charges. "Drugs with an estimated value of $2.9 million were seized throughout the two-year operation," the CCC said in a statement on Monday. "This included crystal and liquid methylamphetamine (ice) with an estimated value of over $2 million." Property seized during the investigation included computers, vehicles, jet skis, knuckledusters, nunchakus and other illegal weapons. More than $313,000 cash was also seized.
