Version three of the internet will see users ‘taking back’ control of their data

A new version of the internet which is decentralised and built around blockchain is currently under construction and may soon challenge Google, Microsoft and other tech giants in how data is managed. Version one of the internet saw data was stored on personal desktops while version two sees everything sent to the cloud. PAC Protocol CEO David Gokhshtein told Sky News version three of the internet will see everything on a blockchain giving users the ability to "finally own" their data. “With the YanDNA product that we have coming out, integrated with IPFS software, we’re looking to go ahead and make sure that you drop that Dropbox, pun intended,” he said. “Once you go ahead and put your information on YanDNA it’s completely secure. “Number one, you don’t have anybody selling your data. “You don’t have any leaks of your data on to the public, where you’ve had, for example Equifax leak out people’s social securities, that won’t happen. “It’s an extremely secure software where you own your data and that has been the focal point of us at PAC Protocol on building secure products”.
