The inquest into United Kingdom woman Sarah Everard’s death has been adjourned until criminal proceedings surrounding her disappearance and murder are concluded. Senior Coroner Patricia Harding opened the inquest – revealing Ms Everard’s body had been released to the family – before adjourning it. A provisional trial date in October was set for the police officer, Wayne Couzens, charged with Ms Everard’s kidnap and murder. During the brief inquest, it was revealed a second post-mortem was performed on the body after results from the first were inconclusive.
