Sky News host Rita Panahi has questioned why the Andrews government “sacrificed” the rights of residents and primary school children to “accommodate illicit drug users” at a Melbourne supervised injecting facility. Ms Panahi's comments followed news children were banned from using the main entrance to Richmond West Primary School – located next to an injecting facility - to avoid seeing a dead body. “For close to three years now, young children have witnessed shocking scenes that no child should be exposed to,” Ms Panahi said. “The Dan Andrews government claims the injecting facility saves lives and is essential in keeping Victorians safe. “But what about the safety and mental well-being of children from that primary school and the residents who have to live with that madness, day in and day out?”
