A woman in her 50s is fighting for life and 14 other people have also been injured after a minibus and car collided west of Brisbane.

The collision happened about 2.30pm at the intersection of Lake Clarendon Way and Forest Hill-Fernvale Road in Glenore Grove, in the Lockyer Valley.

One woman is in a critical condition and has been flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital with abdominal injuries.

“We are assessing 15 patients, with one critical. Seven were serious and seven were stable,” a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.

“There’s a variety of people with different injuries. We are trying to keep across all the transports at the moment.

“We’ve had two confirmed transports already.

“We had one patient flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital and that patient, in her 50s, is reported to have abdominal injuries' and fractures, and we believe that patient is in a critical condition.

“We also have a female patient in her 20s, who has been transported by road to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition with neck, chest, abdominal and limb injuries.”

Paramedics and the high acuity response are at the scene assessing the injured.

“The situation is still evolving,” QAS said.

“We have multiple vehicles on scene.

“There are more patient transports on the way.”

Police said they were called at 2.30pm and they were still at the scene.

“The situation is ongoing,” a police spokeswoman said.
