A meteorologist with the National Weather Service (NWS) in Omaha, Nebraska, battled blizzard conditions to launch a weather balloon into fierce winds on Friday morning, January 15. “Our meteorologist managed to launch just the balloon and not herself into the sky this morning!” wrote NWS Omaha on Twitter.
