The incident was filmed in Long Island inside a Bagel Boss, a chain store in the US, and shows an unnamed man screaming at the workers and other customers about his poor luck on dating sights.

A video of the bizarre rant was uploaded to Twitter by user @oliviabradley88 with the caption: “So in bagel boss this morning, the misogynistic douchebag seen in the video was degrading almost all of the female staff as well as other patrons.”

The video starts with a customer accusing the man of degrading women and asking why he thinks that is OK.

“Why is it OK for women to say ‘Oh you’re 5 feet’ on dating sites ‘you should be dead’. That’s OK?” the man says.

A woman then asks: “Who said that to you here? Nobody.”

“Women in general have said it on dating sites. You think I’m making that sh*t up?” he screams back.

“Everywhere I go I get the same f***ing smirk, with the biting lip.”

At this point another patron steps in and tells the man to calm down, which only seems to get him even more fired up.

He then gets right up in the other man’s face and starts screaming at him to “shut up”.

“Shut your mouth. You’re not God or my father or my boss. Dude, you want to step outside?” he yells.

At this point another, much taller, man intervenes by again telling the increasingly angry customer to calm down.

Unsurprisingly the man once again ignores this advice.

“You shut up, too! OK, then attack me,” he yells.

The other man, clearly fed up with the customer’s ongoing tantrum, does as he says and tackles him to the ground.

As the two men struggle on the ground, the woman filming the altercation says: “I just wanted bagels”.

After posting the video Olivia recorded an Instagram live video with Diana Reyes, the girl filming.

The girls explained that the man’s bizarre rant started because the woman who he was being served by smiled at him.

He allegedly called her “stupid” and told her to “wipe the smirk off her face”.

The girls then said they told the man to leave the employee alone, which sparked is furious outburst.

A second video, uploaded up Twitter user Mike LiVorio, captured what happened following the brawl.

The man continues to scream insults at the workers as one of the staff members tells him to “get your food and go”.

The man snatches the food out of the woman’s hand and throws it on the ground, saying “f**k your f***ing breakfast” before storming off.

But he quickly changes his mind about leaving his food behind and storms back to pick it up off the ground.

After a bit more yelling about how mean women are to him he is escorted out by another customer.

Suffolk Police confirmed they had been called to the store following reports of a fight but no injuries were reported and no arrests were made.

The video quickly went viral, gaining over 13 million views and even gaining the attention of model Chrissy Teigen.

“Do bagel boss-esque situations/fights happen often??? I need to witness one of these in person,” Teigen tweeted.

“This could be the thing that drags me out of my house. where do I need to post up with my camping chair??”

Donald Rosner, who owns the Bagel Boss chain, later announced on Twitter that everyone was all right following the incident.

“After todays incident everyone is OK! Use caution on dating sites and anyone who comes into our locations and mentions this video can get a FREE MINI BAGEL!!!!!!!!”
