A father who was killed by his son’s dog has been identified as 61-year-old Leo Biancofiore. Mr Biancofiore, who was in a wheelchair after suffering a stroke, was already dead when officers arrived at his Mill Park home about 6.30pm on Wednesday. Officers were forced to fire their guns on arrival in an attempt to distract the American Staffordshire and stop the attack. His wife, 58-year-old Donita was also mauled by the American Staffordshire and was rushed to hospital where she remains in a stable condition.
