Victoria's prison system could soon undergo one of the largest revamps in more than 30 years. The state government is considering a series of reforms that will focus on rehabilitation and reforming offenders. The Age reports prison numbers are expected to surge from just over 8,000 to more than 11,000 by June 2023, and Corrections Minister Ben Carroll says the laws are due for an overhaul.
