The RAC Rescue helicopter has been called out to two separate mountain bike incidents in Perth's hills on Saturday, with one man being airlifted to hospital.

A man, aged in his 60s, was transferred to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries after falling from his bike near Reservoir.

The Perth hills are a popular spot for hikers, mountain bike riders and trail runners.

The incident occurred near Gunjin Road, Greenmout State Forest, just before 8.30am.

On Saturday afternoon, he was in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
