Thousands of protesters gathered in Aachen, Germany, on June 21, to demand increased action on climate change. Youth activists representing the Fridays for Future movement rallied in the streets, singing, dancing and brandishing signs that read “your greed costs us our future,” ‘’climate justice: that’s what we want," and, “If Earth was a bank, you would have rescued it long ago,” media reported. According to DW, thousands of activists were planning to block access to a nearby coal mine at the weekend. This video shows protesters clapping along to music during a rally where signs reading “our house is on fire” and “sorry for the inconvenience, we’re trying to save our world” can be seen on a stage.
