Married At First Sight star Susan Rawlings has revealed plans to remove her breast implants after experiencing a range of worrying health symptoms.
Rawlings, who was matched with farmer Sean Hollands during the 2017 season, told Perth Now she believes she is suffering from breast implant illness.
“When I got the implants in I hadn’t heard of breast implant illness,” Rawlings said. “If I had known about it I definitely wouldn’t have got implants.
Rawlings said she had been suffering from a range of symptoms including a loss of libido, fatigue, vertigo and tender lymph nodes for the last two years.
Breast implant illness isn’t medically recognised however a small percentage of women have reported adverse symptoms after going under the knife.
Rawlings said she could only afford to pay $9000 to remove the implants and couldn’t fork out the further $9000 for a breast lift as she was on a single parent pension.
The former truck driver welcomed a son Ashton last year after a short-lived romance with an older man she met online.
“Ashton was unplanned, but I’m very much looking forward to sharing this parenting journey as I’m friends with his father,” she told Woman’s Day at the time.
Rawlings’ time on Married At First Sight ended acrimoniously with her blasting the show’s producers and psychologists shortly after it wrapped.
