Wild weather has put on a spectacular show overnight with thunderstorms, hail and heavy rain grounding flights at Perth Airport.
The storm grounded several flights at Perth Airport, with no planes taking off during the peak of the downpour between 5.15pm and 7.30pm.
Three Qantas flights due to arrive in Perth from Adelaide and Solomon around 6.15pm were diverted to Geraldton and Kalgoorlie while several other WA regional flights from the Midwest and Pilbara appeared to be cancelled.
Photos were taken by Western Australian residents of the clouds rolling in from the Indian Ocean.
