Dylan Napa won't hesitate to launch another into another big momentum-swinging tackle if he feels the Roosters need one, claiming his take-no-prisoners approach is the only reason he's about to play in his first NRL grand final.
The Roosters' enforcer will be rushed straight back into Trent Robinson's side for the decider against Melbourne, a month after accepting a three-game ban for a sickening hit on Brisbane's Andrew McCullough which left his State of Origin teammate heavily concussed.
It was the second time this season Napa, 25, has been under the spotlight for leading with his head in tackles after breaking the the jaw of Broncos forward Korbin Sims in another head clash. He was sent to the sin bin on that occasion, but escaped suspension.
Napa won't alter his aggressive hitman style – albeit keeping it within the framework of the rules – for the biggest game of his career after the Roosters' scrambled into the grand final. It was the only game Napa could return for after the minor premiers beat Cronulla in the qualifying final.
"I’ll be doing what’s best for our team to win the game, if that means trying to put a big shot on I might have to," Napa said. "And if that means being safe and being clinical with my defence, I have to do that as well.
