Wallabies veteran prop Sekope Kepu has revealed debutant hooker Brandon Paenga-Amosa has more talents than just rugby.
Pre-game vision of the teary-eyed hooker belting out the national anthem proved one of the highlights of Saturday night’s win over Ireland in Brisbane and Kepu, who stood alongside his young teammate, said the powerful forward can also carry a tune.
“I’ve got the pleasure of standing next to him for the anthem and I have my eyes closed so I can’t see what is going on but I could certainly hear him,” Kepu said.
“We were both just belting it out but as I said to the young blokes coming through, if you are lucky you get to sing it once, if you are blessed you get to sing it twice because we sing it after the game [when we win] as well.
“To see the photo and the passion on his face, that is truly him, and he’s an awesome bloke to be around.”
