RED JEWEL GIRL (R2 No.10, $10): “New Zealand filly, she trialed OK over there and the owners are hoping she might make a stayer here. First start in a race, she’ll improve on it and they’re hoping she’ll measure up to some staying races here down the track.”
GREYWORM (R4 No.3, $2.50): “Making first start for stable (ex-Kris Lees), winner of three jumpouts previously. I think seven (furlongs) would be better than six. He’s quite an immature horse but I think he’s improved from his last prep physically, so everyone tells me he has, and he seems to be going OK. He’d be a chance.”
BEHAVE (R5 No.14, $16): “A disappointing filly this, she shows me a lot at home. We’ve been mucking around with a bit of gear, rode her back the last couple, so we’ll try ride her a bit closer today. If she runs to her work she’ll be a chance but not the most reliable conveyance at the moment.”
