Two Perth acrobats have ended up in hospital after falling head-first during a trapeze routine at the police social club ball last night.

THIS is the moment a night of entertainment took a scary turn.

Performers Matthew Pope and Sarah Ritchie fell after the trapeze they were suspended on gave way during the WA Police Social Club Ball at the Hyatt in East Perth.

The pair suffered soft-tissue injuries but were discharged from hospital on Sunday morning.
