KIM Kardashian has told pals she’s “so proud” of Kanye West as she gave fans a glimpse of his 41st birthday cake - made lovingly by kids North and Saint.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star threw a low-key family celebration for her rapper husband who celebrated his milestone birthday yesterday - days after releasing his number one album Ye.
Kanye has been hitting the headlines for his controversial rants about politics and slavery, as well as his bravely opening up about his battle with mental health after being diagnosed bipolar.
So Kim decided they would avoid a big fancy party and celebrate with just the family - including their three children North, Saint, and baby Chicago, and a few of Kanye’s “day one” friends.
A source told theSun Online: “The highlight of the celebration was when Kim brought out the cake - which had been decorated especially by Nori and Saint for their daddy.
“Kanye was literally like a kid in a sweet shop as they had jars of candy sweets, as well as lots of Kanye’s favourite ice-cream. It was perfect - he could not stop smiling.”
As well as Kanye revealing his battle with bipolar, he reached number one in 41 countries with his epic new album Ye.
A source said: “Kim told pals she has never been more proud of him and she gets him.
“Kim has never been more in love with Kanye. She takes time to listen to him and understand all that he is going through.
“So the gathering was a celebration of his life - all he has achieved and how great a father he is to their kids.”
Meanwhile Kim posted a sweet picture of Kanye and their youngest child, Chicago, alongside a note for his birthday.
Kim told her followers it had been a “wild year” but admitted “we’re here and life is good.”
She continued: “So proud of you dropping back to back albums & fulfilling your dreams.
“You inspire me to make the impossible always become a reality. Love you…”
Despite Kanye’s “wild year”, Kim has stuck by her man.
After his fans turned on him, 37-year-old Kim ran to his defence and said: “He’s a free thinker, is that not allowed in America?
“Because some of his ideas differ from yours you have to throw in the mental health card?”
