A self-described "elite hacker" and alleged drug syndicate kingpin is facing 50 charges relating to the alleged importation and supply of cocaine, ketamine and MDMA worth millions of dollars from the dark web.

Dov Tenenboim, 33, was arrested on Thursday outside his Diamond Bay Road apartment in Vaucluse after a five-month police investigation into what they will allege was a scheme to import drugs to Australia from Europe via the postal system.

Court documents obtained by Fairfax Media show Tenenboim was allegedly ordering packages of drugs to locations across the eastern suburbs including Bellevue Hill, Randwick, Bondi, Potts Point and Kensington.

He was also charged with onselling the drugs in 300 gram units over a number of months. Following his arrest, in which police allegedly found two grams of cocaine and one gram of MDMA on him, officers raided the apartment he shared with his fiancee. She is not accused of any crimes.
